So when you first open up the app you will get a screen that will show you all of the devices that are currently connected through the app. If you want to install another device click on the blue plus sign on the top right side of the screen.

Once you click on the screen you will be brought to the page below. You can either click auto-scan which I have had no luck with or you can do it manually. For this article we will go over the manual process. Go through and pick out the device that you have. In this case it is a Smart Wifi Switch from Gosund.
So look for wifi switch and click on it.

Once you pick the switch the next thing the app will ask you to do is to pick your network and put in the passcode.
Note: some systems will not automatically read a 2.5ghz and will look for only 5ghz. So you may need to manually change it so it will read it. Xfinity has made it so you cannot change theirs. If you happen to come across this I would recommend getting a Web Hub. I would recommend getting one for all your smart home devices so it does not slow down your internet.

Once the app is linked into your wifi. It will then ask you to reset your device. Just follow the instructions. If the switch lights slows, Do the reset again so it can be read. The slow blinking is an alternate method of install and not all devices have this option

Once you confirm the light is blinking correctly, click on the button "Confirm the indicator is blinking rapidly." Once the button is clicked on a blue checkmark will show up and the "Next" button will become solid and be able to be clicked on. Press the "Next" button.

Once you get to the next screen the app will then scan for the device. It could take up to 2 minutes. In my experience if it gets that far you will have to do a reset again. Usually it takes less than a minute to do. About halfway through the scanning process the light will go solid and you may hear a click noise. That is fine. A little bit latter it will register in the cloud automatically and then initialize the device and automatically go to the next page.

Once you the app finish initializing the device it will then go to the next screen showing the original device name on it. It should have a green checkmark and state that the device was added successfully. Click on the pencil deign on it and it will let you customize the name of the device for your smart home to see.

Once you click on the pencil symbol, rename the device and click "Save"

Now it will show an image of the switch with the new name. Click on it and make sure the device is working. From this screen you can set up timers for your device as well as a countdown if you only want the switch on for a specific time.

Now that you have this device hooked up you can get it to be controlled by your voice through Alexa or Google. You just have to go to the App for your control device and select to activate "SmartLife" app so the device can control any device on that app.
